Updates

Just thought I'd do a quick update on what's going on with everyone...
Kendall-
Has been working a ton this summer. They've had several people quit and are making all kinds of changes, so he's had to put in a lot of hours. He goes in at 4:00 AM a couple times of week so that he can have a few extra hours and still make it home in time for dinner. It looks like it might be getting worse before it getsbetter, but, hopefully, things will get back to normal in a month or two. He's been working really hard on the grass this whole summer and swears that he won't ever by a house again that doesn't have a sprinkler system. I think he's done great with it though.
Hannah-
Mostly just adjusting to having a baby around again and to three kids and recovering from pregnancy. I've also been trying to do some things to dress up my house...couch pillows, curtains, and painting my kitchen. I will be doing a "Mom's Preschool" with Sam this year, so I will be in charge of teaching that a few times which I'm excited for.
Sammy-

Kendall walked out to the van to find "Spiderman Sam" hanging from the handle above the door.
Favorite Game: Pretending to be Spiderman. He does a little spin to turn into Spiderman or back into Sam. When he's Spiderman he climbs all over everything and throws his arms straight out with his hands up and makes noises like he's shooting webs. He's never seen Spiderman, but has picked all this up from what we've told him and things he's seen on his underwear and a t-shirt he has (I never realized the affect of advertising on clothes for kids until now).
Favorite Quotes: "I want to stay up all night long." and "Spiderman needs a drink of milk." He always talks in 3rd person when he's Spiderman.
Luke
Luke woke up a few weeks ago crying. I went in there and asked him what was wrong. In between sobs he said, "Big Yigh-yun (lion) get me." So cute and so sad! Poor little guy had a nightmare about a lion getting him. Since then he's also had a tiger and doggies get him in his dreams.
Favorite Quotes: " I can do it by myself!"
"Scoov!" This means "scoot" and we think it's so funny that we've adopted it into our language too. "Scoov, Kendall...I need some more room."
He talks great, but is still grasping the meaning of some things. I had this convo with him the other day...
"Luke, don't touch the buttons on the computer."
"Okay, I will."
"No, Luke. I said don't touch the buttons."
"Okay, I will touch the buttons." Ugh.
Brigg

Is growing way fast. He sleeps fairly well at night but not during the day. I think it's just because we are running around so much during the day that he hardly ever gets put down for a real nap. I need to work on that. He has had a really fussy last week, but has been better the last 2 days (thank goodness). He's really quick to smile and has the cutest dimple in the world!
PS: Thanks to my friend Melissa for taking the cute pictures!

We blessed Brigg this weekend. Here he is wearing the same blessing outfit that Kendall and his brother wore and both of our other boys.

A bunch of my family came up Friday night and stayed all weekend with us! It was SO fun! I loved having so much of my family here for so long. We went to Bear Lake on Saturday and had a blast playing on the beach and taking turns on the boat (thanks Janice and Steve). Then we did a fire in our backyard and roasted marshmallows.

We also had a lot of fun watching the Olympics, playing Taboo, Pictionary and just hanging out. Abby used her newly acquired guitar skills to serenade us on the beach and we all sang around the campfire.

Some favorites from this weekend:
1. Kendall thinking the taboo buzzer was the timer.
2. Watching Betsy and Joe do their "hurry-scurry" busdriver faces
3. Joe turning the previous cow drawing into a pegasus.
4. Abby's frantic and jumbled mess of shapes and squiggles when she got nervous in Pictionary.
5. Caleb and his "seeing devices"
6. Listening to every moment of Michael Phelp's 8th gold medal race via my screaming, ooing, aaing, cheering family as I fed Brigg upstairs

What a fun weekend!

Y Chromosome

This is what happens when I leave the kids with Kendall...

Our 7 week old ends up in the Johnny Jump-Up. Kendall swears he loved it. I think he looks terrified. :)
