Site-seeing
We saw a lot of cool things while we were in the DR. I am going to keep this as brief as possible...
~~"Zona Colonial"
This is in Santo Domingo and was a whole area where they have a bunch of historical sites.

Above are a few shots from the first cathedral in the "New World".
"Farro de Colon" - One of several places in the world that claims to be where Columbus is buried.
Columbus statue.
This is a 16th century monestary that is, obviously, now in ruins. It is used for movie sets now.~~"Tres Ojos"
"Three Eyes". This is a cave with 3 lakes. Really pretty. Here are some pics...

~~ "Fortaleza de Puerto Plata"
This is an old fort in Puerto Plata. It was built right on the coast and was used as a defense and also and prison. There are just pieces of a building across the field that was housing for the soldiers. We went with a Canadian couple, John and Jana, that we met at the resort.

~~Teleferico
This is a gondola that takes you to the top of the mountain. It has great views from the top and you can just hike around on the trails. It was BEAUTIFUL! This was definitely one of my favorite things we did.
I think we found another Dharma station "no. 21" (LOST reference).

re: "no. 21" - They're everywhere! Really though, did you see any polar bears?
No really, though, thanks for putting some more stuff up on the trip. I was having some Hanndall withdrawal.
That gondola thing looks really awesome. I'm glad you guys didn't get stuck there for years pushing pointless buttons.
