Staycation!

Remember how we went to Lagoon for part of our "staycation"? Well, we took Monday-Wednesday this week and finished off the vacation. It was three FULL, FUN days! Lots to see and do...lots of swimming at the hotel...and 2 boys that fell asleep in the car between venues almost every time. :) They were tired, but also happy little clams. We got a Salt Lake City Connect Pass that gave us access to all these places (and more we couldn't fit in!) for 3 days. It was a fun way to do a lot of things in SLC that we haven't done.

Discovery Gateway (Children's Museum)....woo hoo!

playing at the "grocery store"
helicopter

dressing up

working a crane and loading it up

Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum....Raaaaar!

This thing was cool. There were several different options for heads, legs, tails, etc. and you got to build the dinosaur.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House.
Not part of the Connect Pass. :)

Red Butte Gardens....wahoo!

We went here for the first time years ago when we lived in downtown Salt Lake and have loved it ever since.

Natural History Museum (at UofU)

Hogle Zoo! Gorilla faces...

Kendall's mom was nice enough to watch Brigg for us for all 3 days. It was the right move. We would have had a lot harder time if he was there for all the go, go, go.

But, we missed him....

....wouldn't you?
You can't do downtown without hopping on Trax for at least a short ride.

The Living Planet Aquarium....
Our camera battery died, so this is the one and only picture we have. It was super fun though. We even got to touch sting rays!

Children's Garden at Thanksgiving Point...
We also got a free lunch at the Lion House and saw an IMAX movie and a show in the Hansen Dome Theater. We had planned to hit Tracy Aviary too, but that was the one thing that we wanted to do, but couldn't fit in.

It was a fun vacation!! I think it was perfect for our young family. The boys had a blast, but probably couldn't have taken it another day. They were tired and so were we.
And so is this post.

Wow you guys really packed it in three days! I bet you're exhausted! Looks like so much fun! Thanks again for coming for the baptism and for the sweet treat for Liv. That was really thoughtful!
